The history of the „WOKA LAMPS - ART COLLECTION“
the original idea was to link Artists from the begin of the 20th century - Josef Hoffmann, Kolo Moser, Adolf Loos - to todays Artists.
Task: no design for mass-production, but lighting-sculptures, handcrafted by artisans as multiple.
Marked by the production year and provided with a certificate signed by the Crafter.
In 1987 a contest was advertised by WOKA at the master-classes on the University of Applied Arts Vienna
Award winner: Maria Steinkellner, Werner Schmidt, Miki Martinek
The Jury: Wilhelm Holzbauer, Wolfgang Karolinsky, Gustav Peichl, Dietmar Steiner, Peter Teichgräber, Matteo Thun.
