1909-1935 teacher at the Vienna School of Arts and Crafts (Kunstgewerbeschule) ; 1918-1920 designed sketches for theatres-in-the-round, 1923 realisation of the "Drei-Szenen-Theater" (stage divided into 3 parts; circular auditorium); from 1919 stage designer of the Vienna Volkstheater, 1923-1935 worked with M. (see) Reinhardt; produced operas with B. (see) Walter; interior designer for films ("Maskerade", "Episode"), teacher of R. Obsieger and O. (see) Niedermoser.
Works: several residential houses in Vienna and Lower Austria; semi-detached house in the Werkbundsiedlung (housing estate), 1932; block of flats (Volkswohnhaus, Holochergasse) in the 15th district of Vienna, 1932; soldiers´ graves and war memorials, stage settings and costumes (77 designs owned by the Österreichisches Theatermuseum in Vienna).
