Carl Auböck, born 1900 in Vienna, was apprenticed to metalworker (bronze) and chaser in his parents' company und attended the Graphische Lehr - und Versuchsanstalt in Vienna.
1917-1919 he studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, 1919 - 1921 he attended the Bauhaus in Weimar as a pubil of J. Itten.
1926 takeover of his parent's company, worked as product designer, especially for interior design as well as painter. Many presentations and awards.
Carl Auböck died 1957 in Vienna. Auböck concentrated interior design. Since 1947 he designed lamps and furniture. Auböcks objects from the fifties can be desidered as a variety of usable and unusable items for a society of leisure and consumption.
