Czeschka, Carl Otto, b. Vienna, Oct. 22, 1878, d. Hamburg (Germany), July 10, 1960, graphic artist and designer.
1894-1899 studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, then teacher at the School of Arts and Crafts (Kunstgewerbeschule) in Vienna and Hamburg;
from 1905 member of theWiener Werkstätte. His extensive work includes graphic art, zincographs, woodcuts, glass windows (Gnadenkirche in Munich), calendars, theatre sets (for M. Reinhardt), book illustrations, jewellery, postcards, furniture, etc.
