A very early design by Josef Hoffmann for the Sanatorium Purkersdorf Veranda, later used at the Cabaret Fledermaus. Published in Deutsche Kunst und Dekoration 1906. Hoffmann was commissioned to design the Hermann Wittgenstein Apartment in 1906, were he used this lamp as well. Literature: Wiener Werkstätte archives, Museum of Applied Arts, Vienna, model no.
